There is evidence that existing formal qualification requirements are in some cases overdone in order to restrict the supply of practitioners and so keep fees higher, or to somewhat reserve entry to the richer of prospective entrants and hence more nepotism.
While this observation is not a reason for launching this promotion, persons with any accounting qualifications at all are invited to register their interest. While entry requirement for the top grade of accountant will remain high there could be a place for all.
